Denia Whale & Dolphin Observation

You’ll enjoy a hands-on masterclass led by our marine biologist on board, where you’ll learn all about cetaceans and understand about the importance of the coast of Denia as the biggest whale and dolphin watching spot on the Valencian coastline.  

Our electric sailboat, ‘El Som Mar’, is perfect for 10 people, creating an immersive experience, with onboard equipment such as a 360-degree camera and hydrophone. These tools not only enhance visibility, but also allow you to hear the captivating sounds of whales or dolphins, creating an almost conversational atmosphere. 

During this journey, you’ll have the chance to encounter a diverse variety of marine life. In the Mediterranean, there are 22 catalogued cetacean species, with six maintaining regular populations: the Fin Whale, the Bottlenose Dolphin, the Sperm Whale, the Long-Finned Pilot Whale, the Risso’s Dolphin and the Common Dolphin. 

Our crew plays an active role in preserving the ocean environment by employing nets to remove marine litter, keeping a lookout for cetaceans, turtles or sea birds entangled in fishing gear, and preventing wildlife crime such as harassments towards dolphins and whales during the tour.

• This guided tour is available in English and Spanish 
• We depart from Marina El Portet Denia (Pontoon 5 number 40)
• Duration: Approximately four hours at sea 
• During the trip, water, beers, organic soft drinks, snacks from local suppliers, and fresh fruit, are included 
• There are no age restrictions for participating in the tour 
• Price for persons 5-12 years: 75 Eur (children under 5 participate for free) 
• Price for persons 13+ years: 95 Eur
