Denia Whale & Dolphin Observation

Enjoy a trip led by our onboard marine biologist, who will share unique insights into the world of cetaceans and other marine species. You will also learn about the importance of the coast of Dénia as the main destination for fin whale sightings along the Valencian coastline.

Our electric sailing boat, Som Mar, is perfect for up to 10 people, creating an immersive experience with onboard equipment such as a 360-degree camera and a hydrophone. These tools not only enhance visibility but also allow you to listen to the captivating sounds of whales and dolphins, creating an extra-sensory atmosphere.

During this journey, you will have the opportunity to encounter a wide variety of marine life. In the Mediterranean, 22 species of cetaceans have been recorded, with six maintaining stable populations: the bottlenose dolphin, striped dolphin, common dolphin, long-finned pilot whale and Risso’s dolphin. The fin whale can also be spotted during its migration towards the Atlantic between March and September, and on its return migration between October and January, with May and June being the peak months for sightings.

The tour includes fruit and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages from local and organic producers. These collaborations are not just about business; they are about sharing values and introducing you to products that truly make a difference in the world.

Committed to marine conservation, our team actively participates in actions such as marine litter collection, assisting injured animals in accordance with official authority protocols, and documenting any aggression or harassment towards whales, dolphins, or other wildlife.

• Duration: approximately four hours at sea
• Water, beer, organic soft drinks and fresh fruit from local suppliers are included during the trip
• There are no age restrictions for participating in the tour
• Prices: adults (13+ years) €95, children (5–12 years) €75, and children under 5 years €35
